Filtering and Sorting Findings

The Findings page provides powerful filtering and sorting options to help you manage security issues efficiently.

Accessing the Findings Page #

Navigate to Content Guard Pro → Findings to see all detected issues.

Filtering Options #

By Status #

Filter findings by their current status:

Status Meaning
——– ———
Open Active issues requiring attention
Quarantined Content has been neutralized
Ignored Marked as false positive
Resolved Issue was fixed (auto or manual)
All Show all findings regardless of status

To filter:
1. Find the Status dropdown
2. Select your desired status
3. Click Filter (or auto-applies)

By Severity #

Filter by threat level:

Severity Description
———- ————-
Critical Highest threat, immediate action needed
Suspicious Likely problematic, investigation needed
Review Potential issue, verification needed
All Show all severity levels

By Object Type #

Filter by where the finding was detected:

Object Type What It Includes

Post Post and page content
Postmeta Custom fields, Elementor data
Option Widget content
All All content types

By Rule/Category #

Filter by the type of detection:

  • External Resources
  • Hidden Content
  • Obfuscation
  • SEO Spam
  • JavaScript Injection
  • Redirects
  • And more…

By Date Range #

Filter findings by when they were detected:

1. Click Date Range filter
2. Set From date
3. Set To date
4. Click Apply

Combined Filters #

Apply multiple filters simultaneously:

Example: Show only Critical + Open findings in Posts
1. Set Status: Open
2. Set Severity: Critical
3. Set Object Type: Post
4. Click Filter

Sorting Options #

Available Sort Fields #

Field Sort By
——- ———
Severity Critical → Suspicious → Review (or reverse)
Confidence Highest to lowest confidence score
Date Most recent first (or oldest first)
Object Type Alphabetical by type
Status Alphabetical by status

Changing Sort Order #

1. Click any column header to sort by that column
2. Click again to reverse the order
3. Arrow indicator shows current sort direction

Default Sort #

By default, findings are sorted by:
1. Severity (Critical first)
2. Confidence (Highest first)
3. Date (Most recent first)

Search Functionality #

Quick Search #

Use the search box to find specific findings:

1. Enter search term in the search box
2. Press Enter or click Search
3. Results filter as you type (on supported views)

Searchable Fields #

  • Matched content text
  • Domain names
  • Rule IDs
  • Post titles (for post findings)

Search Examples #

Bulk Selection #

Select Individual Items #

  • Click the checkbox next to each finding
  • Selected count shows above the list

Select All Visible #

  • Click the checkbox in the header row
  • Selects all findings on current page

Select All Matching Filter #

1. Select all visible items
2. Notice appears: “Select all X items matching this filter”
3. Click to select all (not just current page)

Pagination #

Changing Items Per Page #

1. Find “Items per page” dropdown
2. Select: 20, 50, 100, or 200
3. Page refreshes with new count

Navigating Pages #

  • Use Previous/Next buttons
  • Or click specific page numbers
  • Or jump to a page using the input field

Saving Filter Preferences #

Your filter preferences are saved in your browser session:

  • Filters persist while you work
  • Cleared when you close the browser
  • Reset by clicking Clear Filters

Quick Filter Links #

Access common filters quickly from:

Dashboard Widget #

  • Click “X Critical Findings” → Filtered to Critical
  • Click “X Open Findings” → Filtered to Open

Admin Bar #

  • Badge shows Critical count
  • Click to go directly to Critical findings

Export with Filters #

When exporting, your current filters apply:

1. Set your desired filters
2. Click Export
3. Choose CSV or JSON
4. Only filtered findings are exported

This lets you export specific subsets (e.g., all Critical findings from last week).
